The Barcode Warehouse becomes a GS1 UK-approved partner

GS1 approved news.jpg

The Barcode Warehouse has become a GS1 UK-approved partner for asset tracking solutions, meaning that the barcode and RFID labels you procure are using GS1 standards correctly.

GS1 UK sets the standards for how businesses in the healthcare, retail and construction sectors uniquely identify, accurately capture and automatically share information about their products, locations, assets and more. The foundational GS1 standard defines how identification keys, data attributes and barcodes must be used in business applications.

Achieving GS1 UK approval demonstrates that The Barcode Warehouse’s barcode and RFID labels have proven their ability to support the necessary GS1 standards required to help clients on their GS1 standards adoption journeys. Clients can now be confident that their assets are labelled in a GS1-compliant manner with their unique company and asset numbers in both barcode and human readable formats and encoded with RFID where required.

Miles Warriner, Enterprise Solutions Director at The Barcode Warehouse commented; "This is a great achievement by the team. We have always ensured our barcode and RFID labels are GS1-compliant but getting product approval takes us to the next step as we implement more asset traceability solutions for our enterprise clients, especially in the healthcare sector.”

Robert Flack, Head of Partnerships at GS1 UK added; "We are pleased to be working with The Barcode Warehouse as GS1 UK partners. Traceability has become even more important for the healthcare sector in recent months and efficient asset traceability is a big part of this. This will provide healthcare provider organisations with greater visibility of their assets. That is great value not just for the organisation, but for patients too, and that is key.”
