Proximity Cards

Proximity cards are required for use with card readers with a frequency of 125 kHz and above. The standard read range of Proximity cards is approximately 5 inches and operate at 125kHz. Ultra High-Frequency (UHF) versions operate at a higher frequency and offer ranges of roughly 20 - 30ft, UHF versions also transfer data quicker to the reader.
