The BrightSign HD6 delivers eye-catching, premium digital signage with powerful interactive capabilities. It supports ultra-high-definition video playback and strong HTML performance, making it a practical alternative to a PC for many signage applications. Its reliable hardware and robust features make it suitable for demanding commercial environments and continuous operation.
Two models are available: the HD226 and HD1026. The HD226 standard version is designed for interactive experiences that use Full HD to 4K video, 10-bit HDR support and 2D motion graphics. It includes a secure internal microSD socket to help ensure uninterrupted content playback, and with optional LTE modem support it enables reliable content delivery in virtually any location. The HD1026 expanded version extends functionality further by supporting immersive interactive options such as touchscreens and other peripherals via USB and serial ports, making it ideal for high-engagement installations where advanced interactivity is required.
The HD6 digital player offers comprehensive connectivity. On the front, it provides a Serial 3.5 mm connection available on the HD1026 model only, an audio 3.5 mm port, a 12-pin Phoenix connector offering four GPIO, four status LEDs, Wi-Fi antennas, an IR 3.5 mm connection and a 10/100 Ethernet port. The rear view includes a 10/100 Ethernet port, service and reset controls, a locking 12V/3A power connector, Gigabit Ethernet, a MicroSD slot, a USB-A port available on the HD1026 model only, as well as an internal microSD socket. The USB Type-A port can provide 5V/1A power to peripheral devices such as touchscreens. The GPIO port supports eight bi-directional inputs and outputs, and the audio port supports both analogue and SPDIF digital audio. A real-time clock with 14-day life maintains accurate operation and scheduling even during power loss.
The BrightSign HD6 is supported by a scalable cloud infrastructure that securely connects BrightSign players to an integrated suite of services for remote device, content and network management. This makes it an excellent choice for centrally managed digital signage networks across multiple sites, combining reliability, performance and advanced interactivity in a single, professional platform.
