The ICE Centre turns two today!
Marking the second anniversary of our Innovation and Customer Experience Centre – 12 June 2025
It’s been two years since we officially opened the doors to our ICE Centre, here at Newton House.
And what an exciting journey it is. From a bold idea to create truly collaborative technology hub, the ICE Centre has grown into a space where innovation, industry insight and real-world problem solving come together - all under one roof.
Since June 2023, the ICE Centre has:
- Hosted 15 specialist live events
- Represented over 50 technology partners
- Hosted 500 + customer visits and bespoke solution labs
Liam Reid, Innovation and Technology Director said:
"As we mark the two-year anniversary of our ICE Centre here in Newark, we extend our thanks to all the vendors, partners and collaborators who have helped make this space the dynamic innovation hub it is today. The ICE Centre was created as a dynamic environment for supporting our customers and organisations in testing, learning and developing technology solutions to overcome their challenges.”
Liam added: “We know that visitors and customers don’t just come to view technology; they come to test it, challenge it and co-create solutions with our experts to achieve specific goals – cost savings, efficiency improvements, new working practices, resource management, asset tracking, loss prevention and so much more.
A space for collaboration with our vendor partners
It’s not just The Barcode Warehouse customers who rate the ICE Centre highly and our popular Barcode Warehouse bespoke Solutions Labs - our vendor partners regularly use our facility to showcase their technologies. It provides them with a rare opportunity to present their technology in action, collaborate directly with end users and bounce ideas around that often lead to new user cases and integrations and fresh thinking.

So far, 2025 has been a standout year. We’ve welcomed more visitors than ever, hosted new RFID Solution showcases and continued to drive customer-led innovation. The ICE centre isn’t just keeping up - it’s leading the way.
