Headline sponsor: £15,000 raised at the Newark Spring Fundraising Dinner Dance

The Barcode Warehouse were the headline sponsor at the Newark Spring Fundraising Dinner Dance on Friday 20th May 2022, at which an incredible £15,000 was raised for local charities Newark Emmaus Trust and Children’s Bereavement centre.

The event was held at the Cedric Ford Pavilion at the Newark Showground who also sponsored the evening, alongside many other local businesses.  The Barcode Warehouse took along a table of 10 employees and had a wonderful time eating delicious food, bidding in the very successful charity auction and getting competitive in the dance-offs with Flipside party band!

The Barcode Warehouse continues to support both charities involved in the event. They are doing incredibly special work for our young people in the community, and for that we thank them. Newark Emmaus Trust helps vulnerable, homeless young people by providing temporary, quality accommodation with professional care, support and training and Children’s Bereavement Centre help children and young people to cope with the grieving process brought on by the death or terminal illness diagnosis that has a prognosis of a year or less for survival of someone close. If you are looking for a new chosen charity, we would urge you to support them with us.

Rachel Wilson, Fundraising Manager at Children's Bereavement Centre, comments, "A huge thank you to all the team at The Barcode Warehouse for being our headline sponsor for the Dinner Dance. We are genuinely overwhelmed with how much we raised on the night and it wouldn’t have been possible without their support. So, on behalf of all the children and young people supported by the Children’s Bereavement Centre and Newark Emmaus Trust a heartfelt thank you. You have helped change the lives and futures for so many local young people.”

Nikki Burley, Chief Executive Officer at Newark Emmaus Trust, comments, "We are extremely grateful to all of those that supported us at the Spring dinner dance of which there are far too many to mention! We are of course especially thankful to Barcode Warehouse for agreeing to be our headline sponsor. Without support such as this these type of fundraising events would not be possible. It has been a particularly difficult couple of years following covid and the coming year will be equally difficult with the cost of living crisis and so we are very grateful that supporters continue to help. The £7500 that Newark Emmaus Trust will gain from this event will go directly to supporting our young homeless people and their children and enable us to continue with the 24 hour support, 365 days a year. We hope to repeat this next year and me, the team and the residents cannot thank Barcode Warehouse enough.”

Thank you, Children’s Bereavement centre and Newark Emmaus Trust, for putting on a wonderful event. We look forward to next year.
