For the first 30 days, the Trial Edition of BarTender functions just like the full-working product. After that time, BarTender runs in a slightly limited "demo mode" that randomly changes one character in each printed bar code or text field. For example, if you tried to print out a text or bar code field containing "ABCD," it might print out as "ABXD" instead.

Once you purchase the full-working BarTender, it will load and print any label designs created with the Trial Edition.

All download options listed below have everything you need to start designing labels right away. The "BarTender & Commander only" option is the smallest file and will therefore download the fastest. The larger "Full BarTender Suite" downloads include the Printer Maestro, History Explorer and Reprint Console applications, as well as detailed Print Job Logging to a SQL database.

The multilingual downloads support instant switching of the user-interface between more than 20 languages, but they take somewhat longer to download than English only. What is data editing? Data editing (also known as parsing) allows the end-user to define how the bar code data will be transmitted from a bar code scanner. NOTE: If the communication interface on the MS7120 Orbit or IS6520 OmniQuest is not RS232, then a cable is needed for connection to your personal computer.
